Steve Ogden is seeking reelection to the Texas Senate in District 5. Thursday morning, he talked about his campaign for this March primary on the only local morning television newscast.
Ogden was the first of 15 candidates who will appear throughout February on Brazos Valley This Morning. His opponent for the Republican nomination, Ben Bius, will join the show Friday morning.
Ogden discussed his decision to run again after initially saying he would not seek reelection, the budget issues facing Texas, transportation in the state, and campaign statements from his opponent that he has a liberal voting record.
The senator from Bryan also answered questions after the on-air segment for the morning show's Facebook and YouTube sites. You can see those videos below. Become a fan of BVTM on Facebook for exclusive behind the scenes content and updates.
