A traffic stop in Madisonville led to an arrest after police say they discovered two pounds of synthetic marijuana, or K-2, in the trunk of a woman's car.

Madisonville Police Chief Chuck May says approximiately 90 bags of K-2 were seized from the trunk of 26-year-old Jasmine Kayla Neel's vehicle on Monday. She was pulled over for a traffic violation in the 100 block of South State Street in Madisonville just after 6 p.m.

May says he believes the synthetic marijuana was purchased in Houston and Neel was trasporting it back to Madisonville with the intent to sell.

The value is estimated at $5,000. Neel is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
