The price of oil continues to plummet across the country, pulled down by falling global stock markets and a declining euro.
Oil closed at $68.75 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange and over the past three weeks the price of oil has dropped by 22 percent. All of that adds up to savings for you as gas prices have fallen in the area.
The most expensive gas in the area we could find was $2.69 a gallon at the Exxon on the corner of Highway 6 and William D. Fitch.
The cheapest gas we could find was at the Chevron and Shell in downtown Bryan, as well as the Wal-Mart on Braircrest. There you can get gas for 20 cents cheaper at $2.49 a gallon.
