A&M Student Held At Gunpoint When Working At Adult Shop

Updated: Tue 10:54 PM, Mar 20, 2012

Bryan police are looking for a pair of thieves that robbed a local store while holding the employee, an A&M student, at gunpoint.

The thieves went into Woody's Gags and Gifts on South College Avenue in Bryan overnight.

"One of them had a gas mask and the other one had a red bandanna over his face and a brown beanie, and they basically just came in and asking basically where the cash was,” said the victim who did not want to identify herself.

She says she initially thought the two people were her friends playing a joke.

"I was like haha take off your gas mask and bandana anytime. They were like no get on the floor now, and they pulled out a revolver,” said the victim.

No punch line here, she says she was pushed to the floor and held at gunpoint.

The shop does have 24 hour surveillance video, and the cameras did capture the incident happening. The store manager turned the video over to police, but investigators say they don't want to release it to news media because it is too early in the investigation.

"I could be home studying which is what I was doing when they came in, so it was scary. I thought I was going to die,” the victim said.

The thieves took off with cash, leaving behind fingerprints and a petrified victim who decided to quit her job.

Luckily no one was injured.
