If all goes according to plan, the annual Texas A&M Student Bonfire will be burning just after dark Friday night in Robertson County to serve as a rally for students the day before the Aggies play Missouri.

The bonfire, which is not officially sanctioned by Texas A&M University, takes place in Robertson County starting just after dark to serve as a rally for students the day before the Aggies play Missouri. The burn will begin around 8 p.m. at the burn site off of Old Hearne Road. The organizers suggest guests arrive early. There are admission charges issued for anyone entering the grounds after 4 p.m.

The event is organized by student volunteers to continue a tradition that ended after the tragic on campus bonfire collapse of 1999 that killed 12 Aggies and injured 27 others. November 18 marked the 13 anniversary of the collapse, which originally triggered the university to ban on campus fires.
