It's a battle for bragging rights in the sport of bowling.
Hundreds of bowlers were at Grand Station Entertainment Saturday morning for the All District State Bowling Tournament.
News 3 caught Team Captain Kayla Siddons of the Brazos Valley girls making the spare during one of her turns and it was her birthday too.
We're told it was a record crowd of spectators at the event.
"Well today they take the top eight and they make it a stairstep final and then the next competition will be next year. So this is the final match," said Robert McQurter, A&M Consolidated High School Bowling Coach.
The boys' tournament is happening Sunday.
