They're lining up for a shot at representing the Brazos Valley in the State House.
This week State Representative Fred Brown of Bryan resigned his seat.
And today local businesswoman Rebecca Boenigk (bay-nik) threw her hat into the mix.
She held a news conference with friends and supporters at her office furniture business in Bryan.
Boenigk says, "I really think that Texas needs more business people in the legislature and I think that's one of the things we're really missing right now, people who understand what it's like to make a payroll, who understand what's it's like to deal with a budget and have a finite amount of money, and to be able to decide what you're going to spend that money on, and what you're going to have to cut."
Former Aggie football player Seth McKinney and former Brazos County Tax Assessor-Collector Buddy Winn also announced this week they're running for the District 14 House seat.
Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski says he's considering a run.
