Bryan, TX – Atmos Energy will conduct a required inspection on a natural gas pipeline servicing the City of College Station on Thursday, May 15; Friday, May 16; and Tuesday, May 20.
As part of this in-line inspection project, a flare stack will be placed at Atmos Energy’s district regulator station in the 4000 block of Greens Prairie Road West in Wellborn. Flaring is expected to occur on all three days, lasting approximately six to eight hours on Thursday and Friday. Tuesday’s flaring is expected to last about two to three hours.
As part of our commitment to safety, Atmos Energy wants to assure residents and business owners near the site that this flaring is a normal part of the in-line inspection process and does not pose a threat to safety or quality of life. The operation will be under the supervision of highly trained senior personnel operating
under strict guidelines.
