Thousands of area children who otherwise wouldn't have school supplies, will now start the school year off right.
KBTX teamed up with the Junior League of Bryan-College Station Thursday for the third annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive.
Residents dropped off school supplies and monetary donations at the Brazos Center in Bryan and the Towerpoint HEB in College Station.
In all, 36,642 school supplies were donated during the drive and cash donations will be used to buy even more.
Bryan-College Station HEB grocery stores will be collecting point of purchase cash donations in increments of $1, $3, and $5 for the Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive through Tuesday, August 14. Residents can support this signature project by shopping at local HEB stores.
You can learn more about the drive by visiting the Junior League's website, www.jlbcs.org.
