COLLEGE STATION, Texas Two things you won't have trouble finding over the weekend are Aggie fans and a cold brew.

As thousands of people come to the College Station area for the A&M, Alabama matchup, bar owners are doing whatever it takes to make sure they don't run out beer.

Petro Robledo is the general manager for Chimy's in Northgate. He said they've only been in town for eight months, but he thinks they're ready for the big game.

"We went ahead and quadrupled our amount of purchasing for alcohol this week," said Robledo.

That's good news for people like Nancy Johnson. She's the marketing manager for Kristen Distributing Company in Bryan. She said it takes months to prepare for a weekend like this.

"Preparation in terms of forecasting for the beer that we need to have," said Johnson. "It's more than just this weekend. It's more than just the staff that we had to have on, the overtime hours that we're pulling in, the amount of beer that we're rolling out of the doors."

While the drinks may be easy to come by over the weekend, police are asking people to be careful. College Station Police will have extra patrols, a mobile command center and a mobile booking station set up in Northgate for those who get out of control.

"We want you to come and have a good time, but we want you to do so responsibly," said Officer Phillip Dorsett with the College Station Police Department.

Dorsett said to make sure you have a designated driver if you're going to drink. He said just having a sober person with you when your out can go a long way.

"Having a sober, responsible person can get you out of many situations you might find yourself in that might come to our attention," Dorsett said.

Police want to make sure everyone is safe and ready to watch A&M battle it out with Alabama. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.
