Police say they have found the body of missing College Station man, Manuel Mariaca.
The 35-year-old's body was found in a pond near the Andy Anderson Arboretum near Bee Creek Park in College Station.
He had been missing since Sunday after being spotted at Southwest Parkway and Anderson Street.
Investigators on Wednesday returned to the pond.
College Station Fire Department personnel recovered the body about 4:50 in the afternoon and it was positively identified as that of Mariaca, who recently moved here from Los Angeles.
Some family members who lived with him in a College Station apartment said they reported him missing a day after they returned from an out-of-town trip.
A College Station Police officer was assigned to the area Wednesday as part of the search.
"He noticed what appeared to be a body floating toward the middle of the pond", said College Station Police spokesperson Rhonda Seaton. "It was an area that we had not been able to drag yesterday because of the stumps and the debris in the pond."
The Brazos County Sheriff's Department spent Tuesday dragging the pond while search dogs and police searched on land.
Police so far aren't saying if they think Mariaca's death was an accident or something else.
