Boil Water Notice Issued for Cameron After Line Break

Cameron residents are being asked to boil water following a water line break.

Tuesday, city officials noticed a loss of pressure at 3rd Street and Adams Avenue. An eight-inch water line break was discovered.

The break was fixed, but portions of Lafferty Street, First Street and Highway 77 were affected during the issue, according to the city.

However, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has ordered Cameron to notify its residents that water should be boiled before being consumed because of the break. Users are asked to bring the water to a vigorous, rolling boil for two minutes.

If you have questions, you can call the city at (254) 697-6646.
