Brazos County Man Airlifted to Houston Hospital After Accidental Shooting

Investigators say a Brazos County man has been flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston after being accidentally shot by his wife with a handgun.

Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk tells us the wife was attempting to shoot a skunk at their home in the 1500 block of Wayfarer Lane in the Nantucket subdivision when the husband was accidentally shot.

He was airlifted by PHI to Houston a little after 9 o'clock Sunday night.

Sheriff Kirk says the man was shot in the abdominal region.

The investigation continues.
