WASHINGTON COUNTY A Bryan man accused of holding up a restaurant in that city has been arrested in Washington County.
According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, Brandon Wayne Moore was arrested around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning on DeVault Lane north of Brenham. He is accused in the December 19 armed robbery of Pepe's Mexican Restaurant on South College Avenue.
Hanak says Moore called the Brazos Valley Crisis Hotline and told them he needed medication because he was having "passive style thoughts." Authorities were notified. Deputies and DPS troopers made the arrest without incident, according to Hanak.
As of late Wednesday morning, Moore remained in the Washington County jail and was awaiting transport back to Brazos County to answer charges.
Moore was identified publicly by Bryan Police Tuesday as the person they were seeking in the Pepe's holdup.
No one was injured in the December incident.
