Updated: Tue 5:06 PM, Feb 26, 2013

The City of Bryan is considering approving a historical preservation district for neighborhoods just west of Downtown.

If approved the city would require strict guidelines to preserve the homes in the area and homeowners would have to get permission from the city to make repairs or changes to their property.

The area in question is West of William Joel Bryan Parkway, east of Reed Avenue, west of Parker Avenue and north of 30th Street in Bryan.

The meeting starts at 5 P.M. Tuesday at the Bryan Council Chambers,
