BRYAN - 23-year-old Michael John Alvarez didn't get far when he ran out of his court hearing Monday afternoon.
The arrest report says Alvarez was being detained on an outstanding warrant in Judge Gore's courtroom when he decided to run. A Bryan police officer at the courthouse saw him being chased by Assistant District Attorney Will Ward. The officers, along with two others, caught Alvarez.
According to JusticeWeb, Alvarez has charges for Evading Arrest, Burglary of a Habitation, Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions and False Statement for Property.
He's in the Brazos County Jail under $23,000 bond.
