A Bryan man was arrested Saturday for evading arrest for the fifth time.
Police received a call that a man was screaming in a ditch near the 4100 block of Old Hearne Road at 5:36 a.m.
Authorities said Christopher James Green, 28 stumbled past the police car, after an officer's attempt to stop him. In the police report, the officer stated that Green was aggressive and said, "stop harassing me, you got nothing." After police asked Green to stop once again, he turned around and ran. Green ran around a home in the 4200 block of Old Hearne Road, then continued north to a trailer home. He then tripped behind the trailer house, where the officer was able to keep him on the ground. Green continued to fight the officer's hold and was able to run away again. The officer grabbed his arm, which caused Green to lose his balance. Backup arrived shortly after and Green was taken into custody for evading arrest with prior convictions. Green evaded arrest in Brazos County four other times; 5/26/05, 4/24/07, 9/30/08 and 2/12/12.
