Every Thursday, a group of local veterans get together for coffee and donuts, and it's all thanks to a group of ladies called the Donut Dollies.

The Dollies volunteer their time to keep the coffee hot and fresh for the veterans from American Legion Post 159 in Bryan.

Thursday, Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski issued a proclamation for the Donut Dollies for serving our vets.

"A friend of mine brought it to my attention about their service to the American Legion veterans so it was honoring and fitting to honor the dollies for their service," said Bienski.

The Dollies have organized the coffee social since 2009.
