BRYAN The Bryan Police Department is looking for qualified applicants with good moral and ethical character for the position of Police Officer. Do you know someone who would like to become a Police Officer or have you been thinking about it yourself? Well now is the time to join.
The current application deadline is August 14, 2013, and the test date is scheduled for August 24, 2013 at 9am. On test day you will take a Civil Service Police Exam which is based on an 11th grade level education. The test is a multiple choice exam covering basic math, grammar, reading comprehension, and spelling. After passing this written exam, you will be required to complete a physical fitness test which consists of push-ups, sit-ups, and a 1 ½ mile run.
An application may be obtained from the City of Bryan’s website at www.bryantx.gov. You must be between the ages of 21 and 44 to apply and have a HS diploma or GED with at least 12 hours of college.
