BRYAN Bryan Police are assisting the FBI with an investigation in a condominium complex, this as properties apparently owned by the same people in Houston are also being searched.
It is unclear what is being investigated, but according to News 3's crew on the scene, in addition to the FBI, there are SWAT and hazardous materials crews at Woodland Court, which is off Villa Maria near the FM 2818 intersection.
FBI officials in the Houston office confirm to News 3 that the bureau was serving a search warrant Friday, and that the public is not in danger, but a voluntary evacuation offer was made to neighbors. Those that left would not be allowed back in until the operation was completed.
Because the warrant is sealed, the FBI cannot comment any further.
In Houston, KHOU 11 News reports the FBI office is also conducting two operations in upscale neighborhoods near Rice University and Tanglewood. The operations began around the same time Friday morning, and the Houston operations also involved hazmat teams.
According to the Houston Chronicle, both Houston properties are listed as being owned by Cecily E. Horton and Andrew Schneck. Brazos County property records show the Bryan property is owned by the same two people.
