UPDATE: The mysterious package discovered in the car was found not to be real. All roadways are back open.
Bryan Police responded to a call at the First Victoria Bank on 29th Street around 11:50 am Friday morning.
A 50-60 year old man robbed the bank with a firearm and threatened the staff with a bomb. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene in a black truck. Nobody was hurt in the robbery.
A Texas State Trooper conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle used in the robbery at the intersection of Boonville Rd. and Copperfield Dr. in Bryan. The driver was found with a suspicious package and arrested. A robot is currently investigating that package.
Evidence in the vehicle linked the driver of the truck, 61 year old James Kyle Graham, to the robbery. Graham was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony.
The College Station Bomb Squad asks that you avoid the area. The intersection between Pendleton, Woodcrest, Williamsburg, and Tiffany Park has been closed and surrounding businesses have been evacuated as a precaution. Camelot Daycare parents need to pick their child up from the Wheeler Ridge entrance and avoid FM 158.
