The Bryan School Board Monday night approved new attendance zones for Bryan and Rudder High Schools.
Bryan I-S-D says the change will slightly lower enrollment at Bryan High School and increase enrollment at Rudder High School.
The school district hopes the re-zoning will mean both high schools will be in the same U-I-L classification when alignment happens again in the Spring of next year.
Residents who live in an area between Texas Avenue and Sandy Point Road will be zoned to Rudder High School.
The change will not affect students currently attending either high school, just incoming freshmen beginning in the Fall.
