Bryan Texas Utilities Restores Power After Sunday, June 2 Storm Outage

At approximately 4:30 am on Sunday, Bryan Texas Utilities experienced widespread outages due to a severe thunderstorm that moved through the area.

The cause of the outages was high winds, downed limbs and trees, and lightning strikes.

The peak number of customers that were affected at one time was 1,500 and all power was restored to all customers by 11:00 pm. No additional storm-related outages are expected.

All BTU customers are encouraged to call 822-3777 to report any damage to utility lines that they see.
