A local Bryan woman is thankful today after a complete stranger saved her life at a local bingo hall.
April Smith performed CPR on that Bryan woman who had a heart attack in between bingo games in Bryan last Monday. Smith, who says she has paramedic training, immediately went into action.
I talked to the Bryan woman, who asked me to not reveal her name. She says that doctors say she wouldn't have made it to the hospital if not for smith's actions.
Smith feels grateful for being in the right place at the right time.
"God was telling me okay it's time to do this," Smith said.
"You have to save this person's life and I just did my best," she continued.
The local Bryan woman told us she suffered ventricular tachycardia.
Her doctors tell her she is very lucky to have survived and not have severe brain or heart damage.
