Bryan Wreck Causes Traffic Tie-Ups on Highway 6 Near MLK

BRYAN - (Press release) On May 12, 2014 at 1:52pm Officers responded to 1300 block of N. Earl Rudder Frwy for a rollover collision. Preliminary reports state that both a blue Grand Marquis and white Enclave were traveling north on the freeway.

The Grand Marquis cut off the Enclave clipping the vehicle. Both vehicles travelled across the median, southbound lanes and into the ditch on the west side of the roadway. The Enclave rolled over landing on the hood of the Grand Marquis.

The driver of the Enclave was assisted from the vehicle and transported to St. Joseph Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Grand Marquis fled on foot towards Martin Luther King Street and was apprehended by Constable Pct. 1 who happened to be in the vicinity when the call came out.

The suspect, Jake Wayman Seeger, age 24 of Navasota, is currently being charged with Fail to Stop and Render Aid and Evading.

The investigation is still ongoing and there is a possibility of additional charges.
