It's a chance to get 5th graders excited about science, technology, engineering, and math.
Coulter Airfield hosted the annual Noel Foundation Air Fair Wednesday morning as 80 fifth graders from Bryan ISD got some hands on lessons about math and science.
Students got a chance to talk to pilots, engineers, and college students about aerodynamics and atmospheric science.
The program gives students pre and post-classroom exercises designed to maximize their experience at the air fair.
"It's a great opportunity to motivate kids and you can see how excited these kids are to be around airplanes. It's like I was when I was little and that was a long time ago," joked John Happ, Director of Aviation at Easterwood Airport and former member of the Air Force.
This is the fourth year the Noel Foundation Air Fair has been held its airfare in the Brazos Valley.
