Less than two weeks after a motorcycle accident that could have left Bryan's acting city manager paralyzed, Kean Register is back at work making tough decisions.
News 3 spent time with Register as he mixes work with recovery and discovered how Register is lucky to even be at work at all.
It's been a painful two weeks for Kean Register after a motorcycle accident in Conroe.
Monday he came back to city hall continuing his job as Bryan's acting city manager.
"Hoping by the end of this week that I'm back fairly close to full speed. I started off last week on a walker end of last week and moved to a cane," said Register.
Despite the aches he's already back making some important decisions.

"The relationship with BTU is great," he added.
But the city's challenges pale in comparison to obstacles he faced on April 20th.
Register broke three vertebrae in his back, injured his leg and knee while riding for fun at a motocross park in Conroe with his kids.
It was all caught on Register's own camera.
"The motorcycle actually came over and threw me off the front, flipped over a few times and the last time I flipped over the motorcycle was still in the air and it came down and it landed on my back and my leg," said Register.
As for the accident Register says his riding days are done.
He had another crash six years ago and had his knee rebuilt.
"I used to bounce and I don't bounce anymore so I may have to watch my kids from the sidelines now," chuckled Register.
On the sidelines of riding but frontlines of city business and grateful to survive such a scary spill.
Register is expecting to make a full recovery and as of now won't need any surgery.
