If you need a good gift for Christmas the Bryan Animal Center has some ideas.
The shelter is having a free adoption event for all their dogs and cats through the end of the year and waving the $75 adoption fee.
They currently have around 45 dogs and 30 cats all in need of a loving home.
"If you've got old towels that we're desperately needing right now or blankets, toys for the cats, chew bones for the dogs anything you want to swap out we'll be happy to take from you. But we've waived our adoption fee though we still cover the cost of getting them spay or neutered so you don't have to worry about that aspect of it," said Teresa Shisk-Saling, an Animal Care Technician with the Bryan Animal Center.
The animal center is also in need of volunteers to come visit the animals and walk dogs on the days they'll be closed for the holidays.
Volunteers are welcome to come to the Finfeather Road location a 9 A.M. December 23 through 26 as well as New Year's weekend.
