Bryan Police officers searched with guns drawn at a nearby apartment complex for three men who attempted to rob the Citibank in the 1000 block of West Villa Maria Road in Bryan .

Officers with a police dog descended on The Oaks of Villa Maria housing complex after a stolen minivan was found engine running and parked sideways in a space at the back of the property.

Russell Gurley has lived here for about a year and didn't know what was going on.

"It's pretty quiet over here. I don't know why but first escape first route I don't know my guess is the back woods," said Gurley.

Back at the bank crime scene investigators checked for fingerprints.

Customers like John Macek were out of luck.

"Yeah I just pulled up to cash a check for my grandmother. I don't usually, I don't bank with Citibank and I seen we had a little bit. I didn't notice it until I got in the parking lot and I really realized something when I seen you," said Macek

The three suspects are described as dark skinned males.

Their ages and races are unknown at this time and one appeared to be armed with a gun.

A Bryan K-9 unit was unable to pick up on their scent.

Investigators are still reviewing surveillance video from the bank.

If you have any information on the case you are asked to call Bryan Police at (979) 209-5300.

It's unclear at this time if there were any customers in the bank during the time of the attempted robbery.
