The City of Buckholts City Council will meet on Thursday and on the agenda is the job status of the town's police chief.
Chief James Blackmon was arrested in July and charged with tampering with government records, following an investigation conducted by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.
Following that investigation, the city launched its own internal affairs investigation.
Last Friday, the council met for a special meeting and in executive session discussed Blackmon's position.
After the closed door meeting, the council told residents the topic would come up again at this Thursday's regularly scheduled meeting.
At that meeting, the council will discuss and receive response from Chief Blackmon in regard to allegations and-or complaints in the findings of the Internal Investigation and to possibly proceed with disciplinary actions up to possible termination of Chief Blackmon.
