Burglary Arrest in Montgomery County

Posted: Fri 11:15 AM, Jan 25, 2013

On December 13, 2012, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office met with the homeowner of a residence on Millmac Drive in the East Conroe area of the county. The elderly female victim told deputies that while she was sleeping at least two people entered her home through the front door and stole numerous items. The suspects did not harm the victim but told her to stay quiet and not get up.

The suspects left the home and stole the victim’s van.

In a separate incident on nearby Dougett Road a homeowner arrived home and saw a van at his residence. The homeowner saw two suspects leave in the vehicle and gave chase. At the intersection of Dougett and Jeffcote Road the homeowner crashed into the back of the suspect van.

Deputies arrested Edgar Jovani Rodriguez at an apartment on North Roberson Street in Conroe on January 23, 2013. Rodriguez is in the Montgomery County Jail charged not only with the burglaries but other crimes: evading arrest and assault on a public servant, possession of a prohibited weapon, various assault charges, and surety warrants stemming from family violence and other incidents.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest or indictment of a felony crime. Call 800-392-STOP (7867). Anonymous tips can also be made through the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers WEB PAGE at
