George H.W. Bush is now just the sixth president in U.S. history to reach the age of 88. His birthday is on June 12th.
The 41st president is scheduled to spend his birthday Tuesday at his property in Kennebunkport, Maine. The Bush family has gathered there, including the 43rd president, George W. Bush.
Also scheduled to be in attendance, according to a source, is President Bill Clinton, who has become close with Bush 41 in the years following their presidencies.
Part of the group's day will reportedly include a screening of the documentary "41," which spotlights the life of President Bush and takes an inside look at his life over the past few years. The film's director and writer, Jeffrey Roth, will also reportedly be on hand in Maine. "41" debuts Thursday night on HBO.
For those who did not get an invite to Maine, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum hosts a celebration Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the library's rotunda. There will be free cake, popcorn, Blue Bell ice cream, balloon animals and refreshments, according to the staff.
Sunday, the Bush family was on board the USS George H.W. Bush taking part in a promotion and reenlistment ceremony and touring the newest aircraft carrier in the American Naval fleet.
Former First Lady Barbara Bush was among those on the USS Bush. She celebrated her 87th birthday Friday.
Gerald Ford was the president who lived the longest life of the 43 officeholders. He died in 2006 at the age of 93 years and 165 days. Ronald Reagan -- the president when Bush 41 was vice president -- lived just 45 days fewer than Ford.
Both John Adams and Herbert Hoover lived to age 90, while Harry Truman was 88 when he died.
Bush 41 is 111 days older than the next president on the overall longevity list, Jimmy Carter.
George W. Bush and Clinton are each 65 years old. Bush 43 is older by 44 days.
