COLLEGE STATION Strong storms moved through the Bryan/College Station area early Thursday morning bringing with them some severe lightning.

According to CS Utilities, around 4:08 a.m., about 2300 customers lost power. The outage was located primarily in the area east of Highway 6 and north of Carters Creek, and in the Home Depot area. Crews were dispatched and power was back on to all but two of these customers by 5:50 a.m.

The two remaining customers have crews on site replacing transformers that were damaged by the storm.
