The College Station ISD Board of Trustees will hold three public forums to receive community feedback for redrawing elementary attendance zones.
The public hearings are open to all College Station ISD residents and will be held the following dates:
* February 26 - Lincoln Center - 5:30 p.m.
* February 27 - CSISD Transportation Center - 6:30 p.m.
* March 5 - CSISD Boardroom - 12:30 p.m.
In November 2013, the CSISD community passed an $83.5 million bond package. The package includes the construction of a ninth elementary school, which will be located due south of College Station High School and south William D. Fitch Parkway.
With the addition of elementary No. 9 in August 2015, CSISD will soon begin the process of rezoning the elementary school attendance zones.
Following the public forums, the board will develop guidelines for the rezoning committee, which will begin its work in late March. The committee will send a recommendation to the board in August or September - a full year before the new zones are implemented.
