CSPD Searching for Aggravated Robbery Suspect

College Station Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly forced a mall shopper to retrieve money from an ATM at what may have been knife-point.

On 07/20/12 at 1651 hours, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to Post Oak Mall located at 1500 Harvey Road for a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers found that a black male suspect had stolen cash from a mall employee. The suspect forced the victim to hand over cash as the victim retrieved money from an ATM in the mall and in the process, brandished what the victim believed to be a knife. The victim, an 18 year old male resident of College Station, sustained no injuries.

According to the victim the suspect fled the area on foot. Officers arrived on scene and established a perimeter but efforts to find the suspect were unsuccessful.

The suspect was described as a black male, around 5’8” to 5’9” tall, approximately 160 to 175 pounds with a muscular build. He had a dark complexion, clean shaven face, and was either bald or had very short hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a white short-sleeve t-shirt, light blue baggy shorts, white athletic shoes, and a white baseball style cap.

This investigation is ongoing and has been turned over to the criminal investigations division.
