More Election Information
Three seats on the College Station city council are being contested in the May elections, including one with four candidates vying to represent the city.
No incumbents are running for the three seats. Place 1's John Crompton cannot run due to term limits. Place 3's Dennis Maloney and Place 5's Jana McMillan chose not to run again.
News 3 has conducted interviews with seven of the eight candidates running for the three seats. Each was asked to talk about what they believe are the three biggest issues in this election and how they would address them if they were to be elected.

College Station is also holding a special election at the same time as the regular election. Mayor Nancy Berry and Councilmembers Katy-Marie Lyles and Dave Ruesink are up for recall. Supporters of allowing Wellborn residents to vote on their future garnered enough signatures to recall the officials, each of who voted in favor of annexation studies and the annexation itself. The community was annexed in a 5-2 vote in April.
If any or all of the three councilmembers were to be voted out of office, another special election would be held in June to fill the vacant seat or seats.
Early voting runs from May 2-10. Election Day is Saturday, May 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
No seats on the Bryan city council are being contested. Sitting councilmembers Chuck Konderla (Single Member District 3) and Ann Horton (SMD 4) are running unopposed.
