A little faith in her football team and a fun bet had College Station Mayor Nancy Berry scoring a touchdown Thursday night.
In December Mayor Nancy Berry made a bet with Evanston, Illinois Mayor, Elizabeth Tisdahl that the Aggies would win the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas. Meanwhile, Mayor Tisdahl bet a rib dinner if A&M wins and Mayor Berry challenged by betting a prime rib roast and a supply of Texas Aggie Brand Beef Jerky if Northwestern would be victorious.
Needless to say -- the Aggies pulled through and so did the Mayor of Evanston.
Mayor Berry along with City Council Members enjoyed some country cooking all the way from Illinois after their meeting Thursday night.
"She [Mayor Tisdahl] claimed they were the world's best so that's pretty high standards to live up to, but we are delighted to have the meal and delighted the Aggies won," said Mayor Berry.
