CALDWELL – The Caldwell School Board is starting the search for a new superintendent.

At Thursday’s meeting, the board approved an agreement to buyout Dr. Janet Cummings contract. Cummings has agreed to resign August 31, in exchange for $99,760.

“While there have been many successes under the leadership of the Board of Trustees and Dr. Cummings, the agreement reflects the desire of the Board and Dr. Cummings to make a transition,” according to a news release from the district.

Cummings has been Superintendent since 2010.
