CAMERON - On Wednesday, at approximately 3:00 AM, Cameron Police was notified of a Burglary in Progress alarm being activated at Stoney’s Liquor Store, located in the 200 block of Milam Street in Cameron.

Two suspects pried open the front of the doors to the business and entered into the business, proceeding to the interior ATM machine, where the cash door was pried open and an undetermined amount of cash removed from the machine. The suspects exited the store and ran to the west side of the building where they were picked up by a grey/silver 4 door sedan with plain no tinted windows.

The get away vehicle was stopped across the street on Milam Street, watching the events, and as soon as they suspects exited the building, the vehicle drove across the street and picked up the suspects near the Cameron library.

Cameron Police responded to the scene in less than 3 minutes. The suspects were wearing ski masks, dark clothing, and were carrying a pry/hallagan tool which they used for the force entry.

Approximately 20 minutes later, Rosebud Police began a pursuit of a gray sedan in which 3 individuals had occupied. One subject was arrested while two fled on foot. It is uncertain if this is the same vehicle with the same suspects from the burglary, but Cameron Police Investigators will be following up on this lead.

No one was injured in any of two events. There is a possibility the same subject’s were involved in a similar crime in Fayette County as well.

The case is currently under investigation.
