An early morning car fire created a small grass fire in Bryan.

It happened a little after 4AM Thursday.

According to the female driver, her car began to overheat as she traveled west on Highway 21 near Fazzino Lane.

She pulled off of the roadway to call 911 and her car ignited.

The fire spread and created a small grass fire which officials were soon able to contain.

Highway 21 was briefly shut down to traffic.
