Three cities in the area are set to hold municipal elections this November, with the filing period set to begin Saturday.
College Station, Bryan and Huntsville each have filing periods from July 27 through August 26, though city offices are closed on weekends.
School districts for each city will also hold board elections for November 5, 2013.
In College Station, the positions of mayor (currently held by Nancy Berry) and Place 2 (currently held by Jess Fields) are up for election. On the school board, positions 3, 4, and 5 (held by Garland Watson, Jeff Harris and Randall Pitcock) are on the ballot.
In Bryan, the positions of mayor (currently held by Jason Bienski), Single Member District 1 (currently held by Richard Cortez) and SMD2 (currently held by Paul Madison, who cannot run because of term limits) will be on the ballot. For Bryan ISD, Single Member Districts 1, 2 and 5 (held by Felicia Benford, Maritza Hoffman andDouglas Wunneburger, who is the board president) are up for election.
In Huntsville, the mayor, all four ward positions and the at-large Position 1 spot are all up for votes.
