All power has been restored after an outage in the City of College Station.

The outage ended around 4:30 p.m. Earlier Wednesday afternoon, a representative with the city said the outage had knocked out power to as many as 6,400 customers within the city.

That outage was reported to be centered around a problem at the Dowling Road substation. Although the situation is still under investigation, Bryan Texas Utilities officials and College Station officials say breakers serving the substation tripped out.

Officials say BTU and CSU teams were dispatched to resolve the problem.

An online map provided by CSU shows that the outage affected an area Southwest of George Bush Drive, between Texas Avenue and FM 2818.
