Around 9:30 Tuesday night, College Station Police responded to Raymond Stotzer Pkwy at Harvey Mitchell Pkwy, for a major accident.
It was discovered that two vehicles were involved, a Chevrolet Trailblazer and Mazda Miata.
Officers determined through the accident investigation that the Chevrolet Trailblazer was driving westbound on Raymond Stotzer Pkwy in the outside lane of travel.
The Mazda Miata was at a complete stop on the onramp at Raymond Stotzer Pkwy.
The Mazda Miata merged onto westbound Raymond Stotzer Pkwy and was struck on its driver’s side by the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The driver of the Mazda Miata was transported by the College Station Fire Department to the College Station Medical Center for non-incapacitating injures.
College Station police have both one westbound lane on University Drive closed while they work on an accident scene. They ask motorists to find alternate routes.
Police say a two vehicle accident resulted in one person being taken to the hospital for major injuries.
