Two little brothers from College Station are recovering in the hospital after contracting E. coli.

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston says eighteen-month-old Noah Melton and 4-year-old Jack Melton are in fair condition.

They were both in critical condition and have received dialysis and blood transfusions.

The Brazos County Health Department says the boys are two of five confirmed cases of E. coli in Brazos County.

The Texas State Health Department is taking the lead in the investigation to figure out the source of the E coli. The state says it is following up on several leads, but cannot say for sure if it came from contaminated food or water.
