COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Heavy rain that swamped parts of a Central Texas city hall has left sections of the municipal building still closed to start the work week.
A spokesman says the south side of College Station City Hall remained closed Monday amid the cleanup. Jay Socol says the affected areas include the offices of the mayor, the city manager, the city secretary plus council chambers.
Socol says staffers have been relocated to other College Station facilities through at least Monday.
Last Thursday's thunderstorm caused a drain to clog and water to accumulate in an outdoor atrium before pouring into some city hall offices.
