College Station City Hall Still Cleaning Up After Flood

The cleanup is continuing at College Station City Hall.

Thursday night's heavy rains flooded the city council chambers and even city manager's office after a drain pipe outside became clogged.

City officials say tree roots had grown into the outside drain backing up the rainwater in an atrium.

Damage is now estimated to be at $10,000 and is expected to be paid for from the city's property casualty fund.

City staff are expected to be back in their offices by Friday.
