College Station Man Charged with Choking Ex-Girlfriend

COLLEGE STATION - A College Station man has been arrested on two warrants for choking his ex-girlfriend.

Police say Bralon Terrol Taplin, 21, was accused by his girlfriend of attempting to strangle her at her apartment in the 800 block of Marion Pugh on Novemeber 2, 2013. Investigators say her injuries were consistent with being beaten and choked, and Taplin was charged with Assault Family Violence and Class A Assault, Family Violence. County records show Taplin was arrested Monday and held on $5,000 bond.
