College Station Man Injured in Freeport ATV Accident

Police in Freeport say a 33-year-old College Station man is in a medically induced coma at a Houston hospital after suffering an accident early Thursday morning, while riding his all-terrain vehicle.

According to police Eric Dickerson was riding a four-wheeler when he lost control of the Honda ATV and fell about 20-feet off a mound of dirt and received major head trauma.

Officers with the Freeport Police Department say an emergency called was received around 7 a.m. Police say a passing motorist reported seeing an unconscious man lying face down on the ground near a wrecked ATV on East Forest Street.

Dickerson, a Field Operations Facility Manager with TDI-Brooks International was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston where he is listed in critical condition.
