College Station Names Finalists for City Manager

COLLEGE STATION A quartet of finalists have been named for the vacant city manager position in College Station.

The position came open following the death of Frank Simpson in April. He suffered a heart attack shortly after his appointment to the top position on the city's staff.

The four finalists are:

- Ed Broussard, city manager in Missouri City
- Rick Chaffin, consultant to City of Farmers Branch
- Michael Morrison, interim deputy city manager in Galveston
- Kelly Templin, city manager in Seabrook

More information on the finalists can be found below, and their resumes are attached.

More than three dozen applications were submitted to a search firm hired by the city.

City officials hope to have a new city manager selected by the beginning of the new fiscal year, which starts October 1.

Deputy City Manager Kathy Merrill has been serving as the interim city manager since Simpson's death.
