Posted: Thu 3:27 PM, Jan 31, 2013

Police say a College Station street was closed for about three hours Wednesday afternoon because a City of Bryan water services truck carrying solid treated sewage overturned after the load shifted.

More than 10 tons of treated human waste spilled at the intersection of Spring Loop and University Drive.

The truck driver was not injured nor were any other vehicles involved.
To remove the waste and clear the roadway, crews worked throughout the afternoon using shovels, heavy equipment and street sweeper
